Amy holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology (major in Biopsychology, minor in Experimental Neuropsychology) and spent 15 years teaching college psychology classes and doing brain research, specializing in the evolution and neuroscience of visual attention and memory and developing unique classes in the psychology of art and creativity. She has published research in the peer-reviewed journals Behavioural Brain Research, Perception and Psychophysics, and the Journal of Psychopharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.
A graduate of the Hypnotherapy Academy of America, she has received the most rigorous hypnotherapy training available. The hypnosis protocols she employs have been scientifically verified by the National Institutes of Health to be effective. A Certified Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner with the International Hypnosis Association, Amy is certified in Hypnotherapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, as well as Professional Coaching, having studied with David Krueger, M.D., and Primal Health Coaching. Additionally, Amy has taken advanced workshops with Dr. Georgia Ede and Dr. Annette Bosworth on ketogenic diets and mental and physical health, respectively, making her focus holistic in nature.
