Nontoxic Skin Moisturizer Recipe

Nontoxic Skin Moisturizer Recipe

Want healthy, soft, glowing skin without the added toxic chemicals and inflated price tag - a moisturizer that will decrease your stress rather than increase it? And wouldn't it be great to be able to use the same product on hands, face, lips and body? I've got you covered! You won't believe how easy it is to make it yourself, and a little goes a long way. The key ingredient is beef tallow, which is very close to the natural oils in our skin. It's very nourishing and can even help heal wounds. You can use tallow on its own right out of the jar, but adding a little oil helps it spread more easily and allows you to reap the benefits of various oils in the process.

Here's all you need:

1/4 cup grass-fed beef tallow (I get mine from Costco - or you can even render your own)
1 Tbsp oil (I use 1 tsp castor oil for healing and 2 tsp rose hip oil for anti-aging, but you can use any oil, even olive oil)
3 drops essential oil (optional: I use a "peace" blend)

Instructions:

Melt the tallow in a double boiler or in a bowl perched atop a small pot of boiling water. Stir in the oil and essential oil, if using. Let cool completely, then whip until creamy (not necessary, but nice 😊). Store in an air-tight small glass, ceramic or steel container - whatever you have that won't leach toxins into the cream. No refrigeration needed. Enjoy! ❤️
