What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state that provides many benefits. It is a state which you naturally enter several times every day. You put yourself into hypnosis; it is not something that is done to you. While in hypnosis your critical mind is softened and your subconscious mind can communicate freely and easily. You are awake, relaxed and receptive while in hypnosis, and you come out of it feeling refreshed.

What is hypnotherapy?

The goal of my brand of hypnotherapy is to educate you to use your mind to control your mind and body. It is life coaching using hypnosis, guided imagery and neurolinguistic programming. You are in control of all sessions and lead the way. My job is to help you explore your mind and reduce or eliminate any blocks you might have to living a physically, emotionally and spiritually fulfilling life, then giving you the tools to continue on your own.

Will I lose control during hypnosis?

No. You will be in control of your thoughts and actions throughout every session. You will only review events in your life that you are ready to change, and you will not do anything with which you are uncomfortable. You may experience an emotional release during hypnosis, but that emotion will flow easily, delivering its message and energy and then quickly leaving your body. Every session is about you controlling your mind and body, not losing control.

Can anyone be hypnotized?

Yes. If you want to go into hypnosis, you will go there with my initial help, then I will train you to quickly and easily go into that state whenever you choose to do so. Conversely, if you have apprehension about going into hypnosis, you will not go into that state during our session, though it’s not always necessary to be in that state right away. I am happy to spend some time with you discussing any questions or worries you have about the process and train you to relax and control your mind whenever you are ready. It is not a weak-minded person who goes into hypnosis, it is about controlling your mind and using that control to make changes in your beliefs, emotions and body.

Do the results wear off?

No. Reprogramming is permanent, unless you reprogram yourself sometime later. To help prevent this, I give my clients tools to reinforce your results following our session. These tools can include listening to a customized recording daily, positive affirmation work with self-hypnosis and/or malas, journaling and other activities. Often, these activities are so rewarding that they become a welcome, permanent daily practice. I’ll show you how to modify them so that they evolve as you do.

Are virtual sessions as effective as in-person sessions?

Believe it or not, they are! Even when there are tech problems, like weak connections and dropped calls, we can work through them and you’ll still end the session with the same progress as if you had been in my office with me. It is a different experience, of course, and some clients prefer in-person sessions while others prefer virtual sessions.

Do you take insurance?

I do not bill insurance, but you may be reimbursed for my services by your insurer. You would have to contact your insurance rep to find out. I’m happy to provide any information they require. If you have an FSA or HSA account, you can use your card in my office.

Private Sessions

Amy is available by appointment only. All potential clients must complete a consultation prior to scheduling a hypnotherapy session. If you would like to schedule a consultation or session, click on the BOOK NOW button above. Your initial consultation is a free 30-minute informational session. All in-person sessions are conducted at her office in east Mesa, AZ. Virtual sessions are also available via Skype or FaceTime. Consultations may take place over the phone if you’d like.

Individual hypnotherapy sessions may run anywhere between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the goal and progress of the session. Most client objectives will require 3-6 sessions.

Suggestion Therapy Just for You

Enjoy suggestion therapy customized to your specific goal for maximum effectiveness. Following an interview to determine which habits you would like to change or add and how, I will write a script especially for you and record it for you to use daily for at least 3 weeks, then only as needed. You’ll reprogram your subconscious mind to work with you toward your goal, no willpower required!
